Asia's longest flyover opens in Hyderabad!

Its a good news for travellers to/from Hyderabad International Airport !

Access to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad, about 30 km from the city, is set to become smoother and faster with India's (I would say Asias) longest flyover being thrown open to traffic Monday.

Its a pride for every Telugite to name this flyover on the name of former Prime Minister Sri.P.V.Narasimha Rao, the stretch is 11.65 kms. connects the Mehdipatnam area in the city to the Hyderabad-Bangalore national highway (NH 7) en route to the international airport.

HMDA's pride and stuck with initial hiccups costs INR.4.39 billion, the 17.2-metre-wide four-lane elevated expressway starts at Sarojini Devi Eye Hospital at Mehdipatnam and lands at Aramghar Junction on NH 7 to join an underpass.

The good news is the traffic and travel time would cut to the airport by 30 to 40 minutes, provided everyone follows TRAFFIC RULES (which is impossible for an Hyderabadi and shame on them)
